The Trust of Committees, Taskforces & Subcommittees

The Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) was established to unite the global Nepali diaspora, strengthen connections among members, and promote mutual support within the community. Its formation was driven by shared interests such as investing in Nepal, enabling technical cooperation and knowledge exchange, seeking dual citizenship and easier travel, and maintaining emotional ties with the motherland. The association also focuses on networking among Nepalis abroad and fostering a collective commitment to contribute to Nepal’s social and economic progress.

NRNA supports Nepal’s development through philanthropic initiatives, job-creating investments, advocacy for foreign investment policies, and projects in education, libraries, and senior care. It also encourages professionals to contribute expertise and remains concerned about the welfare of Nepali workers overseas. However, challenges such as limited resources, financial sustainability, and engaging the next generation persist. To address evolving needs, NRNA operates through committees and taskforces that are regularly reviewed and adjusted to ensure long-term effectiveness and growth.
